Business Leaders Welcome High Speed Rail Announcement

The North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) has welcomed the Transport Secretary Philip Hammond's recent confirmation of support for new High Speed Rail links between London and the North.
NWBLT, which has been lobbying for a High Speed Rail link for several years to address the growing need for additional rail capacity between London and Manchester in particular, has now published a detailed statement entitled 'High Speed to the North West: Grasping the Opportunity'

sets out the case for accelerating the construction of the new High
Speed Rail link, to revitalise the North West's economy and
meet the long-term needs of the UK as a whole.
