Understanding different forms of domestic violence
Posted On 13/11/2008
Better awareness of warning signs, integrated responses between agencies and more consistent data collection were recurrent themes at the 4NW seminar on Hidden Domestic Violence, held in Liverpool on 16 October 2008.
The seminar, attended by over 150 policy makers and practitioners from health, criminal justice, local authorities and the voluntary sector, focussed on the needs of ethnic minorities, disabled women, older women, victims of abuse in same sex relationships and male victims.
Read the background briefing and a summary of the issues raised and recommendations for addressing these in the North West in our seminar report. (See related documents)
